AKKUYUTST plays a crucial role in the monumental construction project of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, the first of its kind in the Republic of Türkiye and currently the largest nuclear construction globally. With four power units featuring Russian-designed VVER-1200 reactors being simultaneously constructed, our company stands at the forefront of this historic initiative. We specialize in producing and supplying top-quality concrete for the Akkuyu NPP right from its inception. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond production, as we operate specialized laboratories dedicated to ensuring the stringent compliance of our concrete with the exacting standards of the nuclear sector. There are 4 concrete plants at the construction site: two of them are from German company Liebherr and the other two – from Turkish companies Gurish and Vurmak. The equipment consists of 10 mobile pumps 47,56,59 m lenght, 35 transmixers with the volume of 12 m3, 12 dumptrucks, 4 silobuses, 5 loaders, 5 ice generators, 2 chillers, 3 ice water stations and 28 stationary pumps. A high performance of the concrete plants – up to 600 m3/h allows to provide with concrete the construction of all four power units at the same time. To provide the construction of the power units and to satisfy the most demanding request unique covered warehouses of inert materials were built, the ice generators and chillers were installed and new modern equipment was bought.
With a workforce exceeding 500 dedicated individuals, we are deeply invested in shaping a sustainable, low-carbon future for Türkiye. Each day, we strive to uphold our commitment to quality, safety, and environmental responsibility. In the process of concrete production we don’t use the harmful components, all our materials were tested on radiation resistance, which means that there are no any harmful emissions during the radiation exposure. We have certificates which confirm that our materials don’t break down into harmful substances. The concrete which we produce doesn’t have a negative impact on the environment. Join us in this ground-breaking journey as we pioneer the future of nuclear energy in Türkiye!
